Health Services Management (Master and PhD degree):
Health Services Management is an interdisciplinary program with the aim of providing capable human resources for accepting administrative and executive responsibilities at various healthcare units, in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness and improving quality of services provided by organizations which are responsible for the health of the community.
With the understanding of the importance of this issue, the Department of Health Service Management has started its first Master program in Health Services Management in 2008, jointly with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Since 2009, the department of Health Services Management admits four students for this program independently. So far, about 38 master students have graduated from the department and 29 students are currently studying.
The first admission for Ph.D. degree in Health Services Management has started in 2011. Sever Ph.D. students graduated from this department and 24 Ph.D. students are currently studying.
Health Policy program (Ph.D.)
Department of Health Services Management has started admission of its first student for Ph.D. degree in Health Policy in 2015 and now has 9 Ph.D. students in this discipline.
The purpose of establishing Ph.D. program in Health Policy is to provide a set of coordinated educational and research activities for training those who can work at different healthcare policy and decision making levels, including national, provincial, public and private research institutes, educational and health insurance organizations.
.Health Policy is also an interdisciplinary one. In recent years, due to need of healthcare system for macro policymaking, evidence-based policymaking, education and research on macro-issues and the evaluation and analysis of policy implications, this discipline is rapidly expanding.
