The Health Policy and Management Department as a Center of Excellence in Iran is looking for training specialized and committed human resources in the field of health management, conducting effective and practical researches at this field, providing specialized consultations, and establishing sustainable and effective cooperation with different health services, educational, and research providers.
Since its inception in 2003, the department has consistently prioritized the quality of education and research. Its efforts have resulted in the production of competent graduates who have made positive contributions to the healthcare system. With graduates and faculty members serving in various capacities across the country, the department takes pride in its accomplishments and remains committed to enhancing its capabilities to drive further improvements in healthcare.
The Health Management and Policy Department comprises 10 faculty members specializing and fields of study health management (bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D levels), health policy (Ph.D level), Health Emergencies Disaster, Master Public Health (MPH), Health financial management course, healthcare system reforms and management, and course of crisis management, disasters, accidents and medical emergencies. The group's core values include promoting human dignity, fostering innovation and creativity, creating trust among colleagues and students, and a teamwork that can play an advisory role in the management of the country's health system and Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.
The health management and policy department seeks to empower members and participate and cooperate with other stakeholders of the health system in order to use the existing potentials to improve the quality of education and influence the performance of health system sub-units. It also tries to solve the problems and obstacles in this path by using all the potential capacities, creative and innovative methods, and compassionate opinions and suggestions of dear colleagues and students.
