Report of the research status situation of School of Management & Medical Informatics since 2018 to 2021
Dr. Mohammdhiwa Abdekhoda, honorable vice chancellor of the research and technology at School of Management and Medical Informatics (SMMI) presented a comprehensive report on the research status of the school between 2018 to 2021.
According to this report during these years the scientific condition of the faculty has been improved significantly in 2021 compared to 2018.  The number of articles in the three information base; ISI, Scopus, Google Scholar has increased 100% in 2021.  
 The articles on top journals (Q1), and Q2 has improved respectively 100% and 300% in 2021 compared to 2018, while the number of articles on Q3 has been constant that indicates growth of quality of the papers. Therefore, the scientific articles have improved quantitatively and qualitatively at the Faculty.
Dr. Abdekhoda said: ‘The rank of the Faculty has improved compared to other same Faculties (Iran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Abadan) over the years of review. We have been promoted to second rank in terms of H Indicators, number of articles and citations, citation per faculty member and as well per paper, from the fourth and fifth ranks in 2018, while the mentioned Faculties are much older than School of Management and Medical Informatics.’       
Vice chancellor added, the Faculty participation in scientific publications has increased to 4.01 % from 2.9 %, between 2017 to 2020. While only the 2.8% of the faculty members of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences are working at SMMI.
He said: In other indicators also we had good condition, for instance the average refereeing time of the research projects and thesis has declined to 3 months and 9 days in 2021 which was 5 months and 9 days in 2017, and total two months has dropped. 
Dr. Abdekhoda acknowledged that the Faculty has prominent researchers and scholars, so that in last two years more than 50% of the faculty members of this Faculty were among the active researchers of the university and earning of 30% grant of active researches at the university.
In the end Dr. Abdekhoda appreciated all of the university supports, proper scholar policies, by the managers and the board of directors and the university vice chancellor and also dean of the Faculty, and all faculty members, colleagues and students.
He added, we hope by attention and bless of God; and continued supports and fruitful policies in the field of research as well as cooperation and assistance of the researchers we could provide decent services to our dear people in the country.
